Grilled Prawns

These grilled prawns are my go to to recipe, loved by the whole family and used for most of our special occasions and holidays. You can grill them in the oven or even on the BBQ, served with savoury rice or chips this recipe is your go to for the yummiest grilled prawns.

Grilled Prawns

Step 1

Add 2 kg butterflied and cleaned into a large bowl with

2 tablespoon crushed garlic

2 teaspoon crushed green chillies

2 teaspoon red chilli flakes

2 teaspoon lemon pepper

1 teaspoon black pepper

2 teaspoon salt

1/3 cup olive oil

1/4 cup tomato paste

1/4 cup lemon juice

4 tablespoons melted butter

Mix all above and brush all over the prawns including the flesh and skin

Step 2

In a small pot heat 2 tablespoon garlic butter

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1/4 cup fresh cream

1/4 cup Nandos garlic peri peri sauce

1/4 cup Nandos wild herb sauce

Pinch of salt

1 tablespoon mayonnaise

And give this all one boil

Step 3

To cook the prawn on the BBQ :

Add foil onto the bbq grill and brush garlic butter onto the foil. Add the prawns flesh down and cook for 2-3 mins.

Step 4

Remove the prawns off the foil and remove the foil off the grill. Add the prawns back onto the grill flesh down and cook for another 2-3 mins.

*this can be done in the oven as well

Step 5

Remove the prawns onto a platter throw the sauce over and grill for further 2-3 mins in a pre heated oven.
